We Left the Corporate Newsroom to Build
Something That Serves Our Community.

After years in the broadcast trenches of major TV networks, Mark and Dana saw a gap—and an opportunity. Traditional media was too rigid and often out of touch with the needs of local institutions. So they left the corporate model behind to build something leaner, more responsive, and built for public service. SoSu.TV was born from that pivot: a creative, mission-driven studio that empowers agencies to connect with their communities through modern video communication.

Hang on tight.

Where we’re going, the Wi-Fi’s strong and the timeline linear.

BIG BROADCAST ROOTS

Mark and Dana work at major TV networks—creative direction, digital sales, big-league broadcast life. Mark and Dana spent years in the world of major television networks, leading creative direction and digital advertising campaigns for household-name broadcasters. They saw the inside of big media—its scale, its structure, and its slowly shifting foundation. As streaming and digital-first platforms began to rise, it became clear that the traditional broadcast model was losing ground. Instead of clinging to what was, they looked ahead to what could be. Those years laid the foundation—not just in technical skills and creative standards, but in knowing when it’s time to pivot. That moment was coming soon.

2012

SOSU.TV IS BORN.  STARTING OVER.  STARTING UP.

Starting Over. Starting Up. SoSu launches as a production partner for startups, YouTubers, and small businesses. With the ~big~ network world in the rearview, Mark and Dana launched SoSu.TV—short for Starting Over, Starting Up. Their mission: bring professional broadcast quality to a new generation of creators. At first, SoSu focused on helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups tell their stories through video. From Kickstarter campaigns and YouTube series to podcast studios and local productions, SoSu gave clients the kind of polish once reserved for big TV. It was scrappy, inventive, and full of heart—exactly the kind of foundation that would prepare them for their next chapter.

2014

SERVING STORIES THAT MATTER

SoSu TV begins working with government agencies, producing livestreams, managing PEG channels, and creating video content that connects with citizens. As SoSu.TV grew, Mark and Dana noticed a recurring need—local governments struggling to modernize their communications. Cities and counties needed more than just event videos; they needed a partner who understood broadcast, could handle livestreams, and knew how to maintain a consistent visual identity. SoSu leaned in. They started working with public agencies to produce city council meetings, manage PEG channels, and create explainer videos that helped citizens understand local initiatives. The shift wasn’t just strategic—it was purposeful. Government work gave SoSu a mission: make civic communication clear, modern, and human.

2019

THE NINDEO BREAKTHROUGH

Agencies ask: “Can this be done remotely?”Answer: Yes. SoSu builds Nindeo, a proprietary cloud-based livestream system, just before COVID hits.  PANDEMIC-PROOF STREAMING

Nindeo helps cities and counties across Nevada and California continue operating through remote broadcasts. When COVID-19 hit, in-person operations ground to a halt—but government couldn’t. Agencies still had to meet, make decisions, and communicate with the public. Thanks to Nindeo, they could. The system SoSu.TV built just months earlier suddenly became a lifeline. Without needing bulky control rooms or on-site crews, governments across Nevada and California were able to stream public meetings, hold press briefings, and keep the public informed—all safely, all remotely. It was a massive shift, and SoSu was already there, prepared and in motion. Crisis met solution.

2021 - NOW

SCALING PURPOSEFULLY

2021–Now – SoSu earns national recognition and expands support for governments large and small. Still led by craft. Still rooted in care. With Nindeo in action and a growing roster of public agency partners, SoSu.TV entered a new era. The company earned national awards and local acclaim, but stayed grounded in its mission: help governments communicate clearly, creatively, and with confidence. What started as a scrappy reinvention became a trusted engine for civic connection. Today, SoSu continues to evolve—scaling its services, refining its tools, and always putting people first. Whether it’s a rural town hall or a regional broadcast hub, SoSu shows up with the same purpose it was founded on: help others move forward through the power of communication.

THANK YOU

We sincerely thank you for your support throughout this wonderful journey.
