Meet the Production Wizards
Mark Hatjakes
CO-FOUNDER
Mark Hatjakes is co-founder of SoSu.TV, a full service broadcast, advertising and citizen relations agency headquartered in northern Nevada. The firm is focused on live meeting broadcast, video production and emotional branding with an emphasis on social media distribution and streaming. Mark began his career in web design and development during the dotcom era and shifted gears into television and film production for major players in network broadcast. In combining these various areas of expertise, Mark honed the ability to elicit key value propositions and communicate them into an engaging storyline for small and large organizations alike. Earning degrees in graphic/digital communications and television, film and new media from San Diego State University, Hatjakes has both the formal and ground-level experience to navigate the ever-changing waters of brand storytelling. Mark has donated time with local non-profits including AAF, NCET and Artown. In 2021, Mark was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Mark is a 4th-generation Nevadan and lives in Reno with his wonderful wife and partner Dana and his two children, David and Anna. He is an outdoor enthusiast and loves the natural beauty and terrain of Northern Nevada.

Dana Hatjakes
Dana Hatjakes began her career as a performer, touring internationally in critically-acclaimed stage shows as a classically-trained dancer. She brought that quality in front of the camera as a host on several television shows and film. This passion for performance has enabled Dana to have keen insight on both viewer trends and viewer engagement. Dana Hatjakes has over 15 years of experience in marketing brands both offline and online. Serving as the Internet Sales Director of FOX11, Hatjakes was able to hone this online skill in building online brands and increasing engagement using social media. Hatjakes adds to this skillset a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Marketing and is a Certified Facilitator in Idea Generation from the Center for Sales Strategy. Dana is the co-founder and President of SoSu.TV, a video production and marketing firm based in Reno, NV. Her drive and passion as an entrepreneur is fueled by the desire to make a difference. This desire has led her to be active in the entrepreneurial network in northern Nevada and has served as a commissioner on the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission for 8 years. She also sits on the Sierra Arts and Sierra Nevada Ballet boards. She spends as much time as possible with her two amazing kids, David and Anna and you can find her performing in multiple
Matthew Hatjakes
GENERAL MANAGER AND A/V WIZARD
Matthew, our content production manager has 5 years in government production with SoSu.TV and many more in IT technologies.
In more than 5 years with SoSu.TV, Matthew leads the charge in managing SoSu.TV's high energy workflow with a proven capability to execute creative campaigns on time and on budget. He has the rare and unique ability to edit long-form video projects while directing efforts on numerous projects.
Matthew has been instrumental in building the A/V integration department at SoSu.TV and handles technical and creative challenges with effectiveness and ease.
Matthew is an outdoorsman and spends time offroading and camping in the Nevada outback and across the west coast with his girlfriend Meaghan. Matthew plays several instruments and writes and produces music with his brother and bandmates, Werewolf Club.
Mikayla Clune
Account Manager
Mickayla is a Reno native who is more accustomed to being in front of the camera than behind it. A trained dancer, circus performer, and model, Mickayla brings a unique perspective to SoSu.TV's shoots with her artistic eye and ability to communicate with subjects. A true jack of all trades, she has worked in audio production, technical theater, writing, teaching, printing, bindery, and various administrative office positions before finding a home here with SoSu.TV! Her varied knowledge and problem solving abilities makes her invaluable to the team as she takes on the role of account manager.
Samantha De La Herran
Production Manager
As the Production Manager at SoSuTV, Samantha turns her passion for film into creative storytelling through editing, filming and broadcasting. From behind the scenes to the control room, she's all about bringing ideas to life on screen. Her drive for film started in high school when she wrote, shot, starred in and edited a funny little film with her friends. This shutterbug decided to go to film school, earning her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Digital Cinematography from Full Sail University. After graduation, Samantha took a leap and applied for a Broadcast Producer position at SoSuTV. Four years later, she has a team of producers under her wings and a plethora of broadcasting and film knowledge in her brain. In her spare time, you can find her reading LOTR, gaming on her switch, hanging out with her cats or exploring Reno with her husband.
Jonathan Hatjakes
Creative Director
Jonathan Hatjakes has been immersed in the worlds of art and music for as long as he can remember. From playing drums and designing video games as a kid to honing his skills as a painter inspired by portrait artist Jaxon Northon, Jonathan’s creative journey has been a winding but fulfilling one. His band, Werewolf Club, which he plays in alongside his brother Matthew, landed a record deal and provided countless unforgettable experiences.
Now, as the Creative Director at SoSu TV, Jonathan channels his artistic instincts into building a fresh, trend-forward yet timeless brand identity that bridges the gap between government clients and modern audiences. When he’s not creating, you’ll find him adventuring with his husky, Scout, hitting the slopes, or soaking in the vibrant creativity of Burning Man. Jonathan thrives on music, good parties, and the occasional race against deadlines, always striving to bring a little (maybe too much) extra to everything with his name on it.
